Superbowl have recently taken delivery of a new defibrillator at their site in Macclesfield. The project was funded by money raised within the organisation and support from the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme.
A defibrillator is a machine designed to shock the heart during a cardiac arrest, without Early CPR and Early Defibrillation chances of survival decrease by 10% each minute that passes. A defibrillator can be used by any lay person with or without training, the machines are designed to guide you through the application and user process by using visual and audio aids. In the UK there are over 30,000 cardiac arrests a year outside of hospital is your community equipped to deal with this?
George Smith - Deputy General Manager of Superbowl UK Macclesfield said “As a team we are so proud to announce the installation of a defibrillator here at our site in Macclesfield. Superbowl UK Macclesfield is located on a retail park consisting of many different shops & car dealerships, none of which have a public access AED. We felt that it was even more important for us to get one available to the entire retail park! Superbowl UK would like to thank AED Donate for the support they have given us whilst fundraising with them.
Well done Superbowl
