It's great to see the recently installed defibrillator sited at Smartys Nursery (Eden Court) in Stone.

The defibrillator was funded as part of a bigger mission to support CRY (cardiac risk in the young) and fundraising totals reached a massive £4500 thanks to the generous support from families, staff and friends at the nursery.  The defibrillator is on the outside wall of the building meaning the potentially life-saving equipment is available to the whole community 24/7.

Jamie Richards CEO AEDdonate said "It was a pleasure to work with the team at Smartys and to see the machine available for all. CRY do an amazing job offering free screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35. I've been tested it was simple and easy to do and I would urge others to do the same"

The team at AEDdonate would like to congratulate Smartys on their dedication and continued support to the community.

Responsible for around 30,000 out of hospital deaths in the UK every year, sudden cardiac arrest is one of the country’s biggest killers but quick and easy access to a defibrillator can significantly increase the chances of survival.
