A defibrillator has been placed at Stanton Village Hall thanks to community efforts from Stanton Primary School and Stanton Village Hall. The defibrillator is located on the exterior wall of Stanton Village Hall next to the primary school and will benefit the whole community 24/7.

Jamie Richards, CEO AEDdonate "it's great to see different organisations working together in order to place potentially life-saving equipment, a defibrillator is easy to use and could really make a huge difference to a person in need"

Responsible for around 30,000 out of hospital deaths in the UK every year, sudden cardiac arrest is one of the country’s biggest killers but quick and easy access to a defibrillator can significantly increase the chances of survival. A defibrillator is a device that gives a high-energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.

The defibrillator is registered with the ambulance service and anyone needing it should call 999.

A big thank you to the Tesco Bags of Help scheme who helped to boost funds for the placement of this device.
