With a slogan of changing places changing lives, we couldn't agree more. Groundwork is an organisation committed to creating the most effective and lasting solutions to achieve the specific needs of that community. In this case, they installed a defibrillator which should it ever be needed will hopefully make a huge impact on someone's life.

Thanks go to support received from the Tesco bags of Help scheme making this installation possible.

The defibrillator is registered with the ambulance service and will be monitored by the site to ensure it remains available. Staff at the site also received an awareness session showing just how easy it is to use a defibrillator.

Jamie Richards, Chief Executive of AEDdonate; who supplied the AED said “It's great to see another community recognising the importance of the machines, the chance of survival after sudden cardiac arrest decreases minute by minute, but if someone is shocked with a Defibrillator within 2-3 minutes their chance of survival increases by 70 % ”
